briefly ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

• Email address — collected when you create an account. Used solely to authenticate you and provide access to the app.
• User ID — a unique identifier assigned to your account. Used to associate your preferences and subscription status with your profile.
• Purchase history — subscription information managed by RevenueCat. Used to determine your access level (free or Pro) within the app.
• Device token (APNs) — collected when you grant notification permission. Used only to deliver daily news briefing notifications you have opted into.

2. How We Use Your Information

All data collected is used exclusively to operate and improve the app:

• Authenticate your account and maintain your session
• Deliver personalised daily news briefings and breaking alerts
• Manage your subscription status
• Send push notifications you have enabled

We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, or any form of cross-app tracking.

3. Third-Party Services

• Supabase — authentication and database. Stores your email address, user ID, and notification token.
• RevenueCat — subscription management. Processes and stores your purchase history.
• Apple — payment processing and push notifications. Governed by Apple's own privacy framework.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to any third party. Data is shared only with the service providers listed above, to the extent necessary to operate the app.

5. Data Retention

Your account data is retained for as long as you maintain an account. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.

6. Security

We use TLS encryption and Supabase Row-Level Security to protect your data in transit and at rest.

7. Children's Privacy

briefly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your Rights

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
